  I am a very happy customer again! 😊❤️ I had hair color, refresh, treatment, and haircut done today. Ms. Shahida R. always delivers and does an EXCELLENT work on my hair. If you have short hair, Shahida is your BEST hairstylist in JCP hair salon in Frederick, MD. Shahida’s been cutting my hair for about 3 years now and I follow her wherever she goes. When she left Ulta to JCP, I did not mind the longer drive because she’s that good and amazing! 🤩 It’s hard to find a hairstylist that is good with short hair. She’s artistic and will give an honest and confident advice what’s best for your hair and overall facial features on both cut and color/highlights. On a personal note, she is so polite, very nice, and the sweetest person. And most especially, She CARES about her customers and TAKES PRIDE in her work. She will not stop until she is satisfied and happy with her work and you will leave the salon with a big smile, feeling good and beautiful…. Not to forget compliments from other clients and stylist on your way out. 💞😊

  The hair cut is very nice. Sajida knows what she is doing. My son is extremely happy. I am disappointed because the website did not work for making appointment. I did a phone appointment, even after that I waited 20 minutes. There are about 30 stations but only 5 stylist were working.

  I made a last minute appointment to style my short hair in a side cascade sweep for a wedding I was attending with clip in extensions. I was assigned to McKenzie who only works on the weekends. I didn't meet her in advance and was extremely nervous about how my hair would come out. From the moment I meet Mckenzie on Saturday morning, the day of the event, She made me feel at ease. She was so friendly and warm, and professional. She communicated the whole time to let me know the process of adding the extensions and transformed my thinning 60ish hair into a beautiful cascade of curls. The other stylist so friendly and supportive as well. I highly recommend Frederick JCPenny salon for all your beauty needs. They are a hidden gem at the Frances Scott Key Mall!

  They are so knowledgeable and professional in this salon. I love going in there to see my girl Missie. They know their products and know how to give your ideas a great twist to something more. That you wouldn't even think of.

  I would give this zero stars if I could. I will be fair and say that my rating is not based on ability but scheduling and service. My children are mixed and have curly hair. My son's hair has some texture and my daughter's curly fine hair. I was told that the person who regularly does curly hair (Shelly) was not coming in that day, but my children could meet with Saurous who said she can cut curly hair. I explained a few times to Gwen (the receptionist) the texture of my children's hair, and she told me when to come in a meet with Saurous. When my children got there, Saurous asked to see their hair, and then said she could not cut either of their hair and turned them away. I would HAVE NEVER subjected my children to someone looking at them/their hair and telling them that they are unable to handle or work with their hair! I then called the salon (my husband took them) and spoke to Gwen. She said, "You told me their hair was curly but not that curly." I was so upset, and sad for my children. I said that I could maybe understand her not being able to cut my son's hair, but she not being able to cut my daughter's hair and turning them away was very upsetting, and I was mislead! Gwen said she asked Saurous, and Saurous said she was able to, "but I guess I was wrong." Then she hung up on me. If you are a person with curly hair, regardless of your texture, I would suggest you avoid this place!!! Unless, I'm assuming, you get Shelly.
