I initially heard about this salon from a stylist at another nationwide chain that primarily focuses on haircuts. When I asked if she knew of a salon that does good perms, she mentioned that many clients have had their perms done at JCP (Westshore). I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised to find an available appointment with Doris on the same day I called. I have long hair, which makes the perming process quite time-consuming, requiring two bottles of each solution. Doris was meticulous, patient, and friendly throughout the entire process. The end result was stunning, but I waited three weeks to write this review to ensure the perm lasted. Unfortunately, my previous perm experience back in late March at a salon across from Plant High School was disappointing. Despite the stylist's 30+ years of experience, the perm didn't take, after 2-3 weeks it was obvious, likely due to a missed step or insufficient solution time. When I returned to address the issue, the manager (or possibly the owner) was dismissive and blamed me for not following instructions or using the right products. This was laughable, as I've been getting perms for many years and know how to care for them-- won't go back or recommend this salon. In contrast, my experience with Doris at JCP was exceptional. I highly recommend her for anyone needing a perm. She is truly fantastic, and JCP Beauty Salon at Westshore Mall will be my go-to place from now on. Thank you for a great experience, from a very satisfied customer. 😊
