JCPenney’s curbside pickup was an absolute disaster. I ordered sleepers for my toddler and received an email confirming my order was ready. It was nap time, so I chose curbside to keep my toddler asleep in his car seat—the entire purpose of offering curbside. I parked in the clearly marked curbside spot and checked in through the pickup page. After waiting far too long, I refreshed and checked in multiple times to ensure it went through.
I waited OVER AN HOUR with no one coming out—an unacceptable delay. Even the busiest stores in bigger cities on weekends or holidays manage to bring orders out faster; an hour is unheard of! I tried calling the store repeatedly but couldn’t reach anyone. Finally, I got through to the salon, where I was told they “don’t have curbside” and I’d need to come inside. I had to explain that they have a curbside spot and check-in system, so clearly it’s offered. The employee grudgingly said they’d radio someone, but it still took another 10 minutes for anyone to show up. The staff was rude, acting like bringing my order out was a massive favor. This was on a Tuesday at 1:30 PM with an almost empty parking lot, so they weren’t remotely busy. If employees have a problem delivering curbside orders, they should work somewhere that doesn’t offer it. The service was awful, and they weren’t the least bit apologetic. JCPenney needs to train their staff to do their jobs properly and stop treating customers like an inconvenience.

Terrible customer service lost all of our clothes on hold and hung up on me three times before I could speak to an employee. Disappointing business
