FRED. That’s why JCPenney about to shut down because how rude the employee is I never in my life had to deal with a manager like the one he is thinking he’s the manager. Don’t know how to talk to his customers made me really mad i’m a business owner. I know how to treat my customers if I have someone like him I promise he’ll get fired right then.
My boyfriend and I are leaving to go to a wedding in the morning. We hardly ever dress in any kind of formal clothing, so we were clueless about sizing or meeting dress code requirements for a “semi-formal” wedding. Of course, we waited till the last minute to find my boyfriend something to wear. DANA was an absolute angel. We spent 2-3 hours in Belk with him trying on different things aimlessly. We were in and out of JCP in less than an hour because Dana helped us find the correct sizes and appropriate attire for a semi-formal event. She was friendly and helpful, and I cannot thank her enough for her help. We were very anxious when we arrived at the mall, but now we are looking forward to going to the wedding with both of us looking our best. Thank you SO much Dana, we hope you see this review!

In Alabama where George Wallace stood in the doorway to prevent blacks from equal treatment, conditions still exist where a White asst manager feels entitled enough to throw jewelry across the counter (yes she was that nervous and scared) while displaying blatant hostility and prejudice and tell a former Marine, me to leave 'Her' store as if her last name is Penney. Contacting legal representative and advising all Veterans to avoid this person and the place that employs her. Thank you for your service... Yeah right
Update October 29th...She still has her job! No consequences!

JCPenney – A Timeless Classic That Still Delivers
JCPenney has been a household name for over 120 years, and every time I walk into the Tuscaloosa location at University Mall, I’m reminded why this legacy brand has stood the test of time. The store itself has been a part of our local community since 1980, serving generations of families with quality goods, fair pricing, and friendly service. That’s over four decades of anchoring University Mall—and it shows in the way they continue to meet everyday needs with ease and care.
Whenever I go to JCPenney, I find what I’m looking for. Whether it’s a quick wardrobe refresh, housewares, or shoes for my son, they always seem to have just the right thing. The store layout is intuitive, the departments are easy to navigate, and the merchandise is consistently well-stocked and organized. Even more than the products, I appreciate the people—the cashiers are kind, patient, and helpful, especially when I’m using my JCPenney Rewards (which always feel like a sweet little bonus for being a loyal shopper).
There’s something incredibly comforting about shopping at a store that has not only been around for more than a century, but has also been part of my life since I can remember. It’s a place where tradition and convenience meet—and in today’s fast-moving retail world, that’s a rare and beautiful thing.
Thank you, JCPenney, for being both timeless and timely—for evolving while staying true to your roots. I’m always glad to walk through those doors and even happier when I walk out with everything I needed.
