THEY LOCKED MY GRANDCHILDREN OUT OF THE STORE!!! The doors were open. We and others entered as normal. my grandchildren went off to look at shoes. They called, five minutes later, saying a Karen LOCKED THEM OUT after claiming the store didn’t open for five minutes more minutes even though THEY LEFT ALL THE DOORS UNLOCKED. Punishing minors for their mistake and five minutes hardly seems professional, in fact they should be embarrassed to call it professional. Will not be visiting again

I (a white female) went in to grab some cologne with my wife (black female) and we were followed the entire time while looking. To the point of there being three associates standing directly behind us just staring at us. When I asked if I could help them, one decided to point out a clearance section for me. Blatant racism.

Pretty disappointed. I came into the store to buy a pair of Levi’s and noticed the price was lower on JCPenney’s own website. I asked for a price match, which their “Lowest Price Guarantee” clearly says they honor—even for their own site—and they refused. They claimed they don’t price match Levi’s, but that’s not written anywhere in their policy. If certain brands are excluded, that should be made clear upfront. It felt misleading and honestly like a bait-and-switch.
