I was removing the price tags and was shocked to see that they had been MARKED UP from and original price of $12 to the price I paid $14! What the hell is this about? You purchased the watches and marked them $12. Did they suddenly become more valuable in the time they were on the shelf? Or had they been there so long than an additionl $2 was added to cover the prolonged time on the shelf. I have never seen a price hike like this in my life! If you are going to do this in the future, I suggest using a tag that will not allow someone to see the original tag if they attempt to remove them. I dont expect any type of compensation. I did not seek out JC Pennys for this purchase, I just happened to be near the store at the time. I just wanted you to know that people see this kind of thing and it gives a bad impression.
- HRHemalakshmi RajeevSep 7, 20251.0Extremely Disappointed with JCPenney Portraits at Vernon Hills, IL We scheduled a family portrait session at JCPenney Vernon Hills for our son’s first birthday, hoping to capture a special milestone. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disappointment. None of the photos taken had proper lighting, and neither of our kids had good eye contact in any of the shots. The photographer seemed to have absolutely no experience working with children or families—frankly, anyone with a phone could’ve done a better job. It was painfully clear that there was no effort to make the session engaging or professional. We wasted nearly 1.5 hours for photos we couldn’t even consider using. If you're looking to capture important family memories, do NOT go to the JCPenney Portrait Studio at Vernon Hills. You’ll only end up frustrated and disappointed, like we did.

The cosmetic and beauty center looked amazing, and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Customer service for order pick-up was fast, helpful, and super nice. I loved the selection of tween clothes, and the college/dorm section downstairs was a nice surprise with great finds for students. Definitely a store worth visiting!
