We had a great experience with Jay Moody. They proposed a whole heating system that worked for us at a very reasonable cost. They did a great job installing the heat pumps and on time. They have also been great helping us out on the Mass Save rebate and loan process.

We are very happy with our experience with Jay Moody. We worked with them almost 3 years ago to add Central AC to our house by replacing the old oil boiler providing heat to baseboard radiators and also tankless domestic hot water with Heat Pumps. We installed 2 new central-air ducted heat pumps with humidifiers, 1 ducted mini-split (all 3 for primary heat and air conditioning), and a propane boiler to indirect domestic hot water tank (also for primary heat via baseboard radiators in our basement, and backup heat for the heat pumps when the weather is too cold). When we bought the house, there was no existing AC, so all ductwork had to be fabricated and installed too. It was essentially four different projects all running at the same time. During the sales & design process, we worked with Jay Moody and 5 other local HVAC providers to try to determine our best options for switching from oil boiler & no AC to Heat Pumps for Heat & AC. Jay Moody was the only vendor that took a very deliberate, objective, engineering-minded approach to designing the right system. The other vendors all relied on "I've been doing this for 30 years and I know what you need," yet they all came up with wildly different sizing estimates, so it was impossible to trust whose 30 years of gut instinct was right. Jay Moody's methodical approach meant they were able to explain how & why they sizing the system the way they were. I can say after three summers and two winters, including multiple days exceeding both the coldest "Design Day" and the hottest "Design Day", that their sizing was just about right on and the other vendors sizing estimates would have been completely wrong. During installation, the crews were all fantastic. They were organized, clean, courteous to me and my wife, and professional with the other contractors working in the house. Overall they were just a nice group of people. They even impressed the other contractors we had working on different projects in parallel. Contractors love to hate on HVAC guys, but even the GC and foreman were impressed, saying Jay Moody was the best they've ever seen. We had multiple crews working on different parts of the installs, e.g. ripping out the oil boiler and oil tank to put in the new propane boiler and water tank (including installing new gas lines), fabricating ductwork, installing plumbing & electrical for the heat pumps, installing the actual heat pumps and air handlers, removing all the old baseboard radiators, etc. They worked with each other like a well choreographed ballet. The project wasn't totally without issues, but they worked around them, and they were very transparent and communicated well throughout the process. We appreciate that they paid attention to little details that would have been easy to gloss over, even down to painting the ducts black behind the vents/registers so we don't have shiny metal drawing our attention. After installation, we had one major problem, but they were very responsive in coming out on a Saturday morning to resolve it. How companies address major issues could have really damaged our perception of them, but they handled it so well it really solidified our faith and trust in how they do business.
