We don’t take ourselves too seriously at Jax Fish House. Two things we do take seriously? The freshness and sustainability of our seafood. You know fresh fish when you see, smell, and taste it—and thanks to modern delivery technology, we bring in that freshy-fresh seven days a week.
Sustainability is a little more complicated. Not all commercial fisheries are created equal. That’s why we work closely with our suppliers and science-based organizations to ensure that every single thing we serve is responsibly sourced. We consider the stocks of the species we source to prevent overfishing and we work with suppliers who harvest in ways that have minimal impacts on marine environments.

Carry the bartender is also very attentive. We’ve started to come most Friday nights because it’s so affordable for the best oysters in town. Try the deviled eggs too!!

- KKKimi KulacicOct 13, 20252.0Usually love this place. Came here tonight for happy hour, spent over $200 for 3 people. The last oyster I ate was huge, it tasted and smelled very off. My friend & boyfriend noticed the scent too after I ate it, we mentioned it to our server & all she said was "good to know". Not sure if it was because they were closing... but would expect better service from a place like this.

- TOTaylor OnealOct 11, 20255.0Ok so coming from a Floridian, that doesn’t eat seafood🤦🏻♀️ I have to say, I’m often shocked at the landlocked seafood options as they are often not fresh and it shows. However, the quality of the options available at Jax is top notch, fresh, and the menu options are very thoughtful and creative. The staff is super friendly, the ambiance is reminiscent of a coastal boardwalk eatery for sure. The aroma when you walk in the door takes me back home ironically to Jacksonville Beach (aka Jax beach) lol. The chef obviously cares greatly about the dishes being put out. It’s a wonderful place, quite possibly the only place, to really get seafood in and around the Springs! As for non-seafood options, short rib, salads, and my favorite… their hush puppies are the best! But if you want seafood this is the spot!
