About

University
James E. Talmage, distinguished scholar and spiritual giant, was once selected to succeed Karl G. Maeser as president of Brigham Young Academy. The building named in his honor was completed in 1971, the first building on campus of earthquake-resistant design. Its computer area was built separately from its classroom area so the computers could operate on a 24-hour basis. In 1990 the building was renovated and a four-story expansion added. This building houses the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences' Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, and Computer Science Departments, as well as the Office of Information Technology Operations.

Second worst building on campus. Most classrooms have very small windows. They keep all the rooms with good windows locked away. I'm also jealous because the sciences should have gotten a new building before the arts got TWO new buildings

It is an okay building. It is a little old ad classrooms are ok. The second level is definitely better as far as classrooms.
