I was a total newbie, and he was patient and kind while I plodded through Wipe Out and Smoke on the Water. He showed me all sorts of stuff he knew how to play and different techniques that he used on the songs he’d performed over the years. I wasn’t a serious guitar student, but he taught me some good stuff, I walked away enjoying playing guitar even if it wasn’t something I was going to keep doing, and I can still play Wipe Out.
