We make timeless clothes that last a lifetime…then pair them with of-the-moment styles season after season, decade after decade. We think that distinct heritage pairs perfectly with modern design and fabric technology. We believe in feel-good color…Even if black or navy makes you feel best, we’re here for that. We’re the experts in signature categories: cashmere, coats, blazers, pants—and we also collaborate with the coolest brands out there because we know that creativity is contagious. We consider leopard a neutral, speak stripes fluently and live for a great gingham. We’ve had your back for over 35 years, and we’re convinced there’s no better expert on our clothes than you, our customer.

0 stars if I could. Worst customer service I have ever encountered.

This location is the women's J. Crew store, which is across the street from the mens' side. I've been to both only once, and what a stark contrast. The men's side had impeccable service. The women's side, not so much. I came in here with my girlfriend to try on some items. She tried on a sweater that we liked, and I asked a worker, some white, middle-aged slender blonde, if the sweater was included in the store sale. She said yes, and we moved on. Later, I was carrying around a coat that my girlfriend wanted to try on when I noticed a mannequin wearing a vest. I wanted her to try the vest on, but couldn't find it anywhere, so I asked the same worker. Instead of helping me she looks at the coat I'm holding, and says, "Just to make sure, you did see the price on that right?" I look at the tag and it's $1,500. Like ok? And? I ask her again to find me the vest and she does. She goes to the other side of the store where my girlfriend is and she tells her that she "didn't mean to offend me." Ok, fine. People slip up and say things by accident; obviously she recognized her mistake and "apologized" to my girlfriend instead of me. My girlfriend is insulted but I brush it off, forget it. But when we're trying the coat on in the dressing room, she decides to come knock on the door of the dressing room and proceeds to tell us, "I just wanted to let you know that that coat is not eligible for the store sale." Like did I ask you? Are you telling me this because I asked if the sweater was on sale? What is wrong with this woman I don't understand. Offends a person once, recognizes it, then doubles down to continue offending them. Why not 1 star? Because the other workers were acceptable, I suppose.
