This place has THE BEST customer service I’ve seen from ANY company EVER. My experience: I’d bought a new battery from just over a year ago and it had been working well. Then a couple weeks ago, it started needing a charge every morning to get started. Then a couple days ago it started needing a jump/charge every time I started it. As I was looking over the battery and trying to figure out if I needed a new battery, or a new alternator, or if wires were crossed… - ok, I had no earthly clue what the problem was - I noticed the words “Interstate Battery - 2 year guarantee”. I hadn’t even remembered where I’d bought the thing to begin with, so this at least gave me a place to start. Note, I still figured I’d be paying for a battery today (if I needed one) - I’m a real cynic about “guarantees” - but I figured this way, it would at least be up to Interstate to prove it wasn’t the battery. So I roll up to the front of the store (15 min customer parking only) and as soon as I walk in the door, Dude asks if he can help. I tell him I got a battery still under warranty and am wondering if he can check it. He came out with me directly and raised the hood of my truck and took a brief look, then came back with a cart (literally 20 seconds later, ISYN) loaded with testing equipment and a super duper heavy duty cool looking battery. He tested the battery in my truck and quickly determined it had a “bad cell”. This meant that one of the battery’s four cells was faulty. He swapped out my old battery - that had obviously cost much less than the high-end replacement battery he hooked up - and told me start the car, then meet him indide for the paperwork. <roar of my mighty 1979 Toyota Pickup’s 20R engine, as it comes to life> So within 3 minutes of my having walked in the door of Interstate Battery, I had a new battery installed. All my dread of spending the day figuring out if I even needed a new battery, or if it was something else… vanished. I walked up to the counter fully prepared to pay whatever Dude asked for. He handed over the paperwork and asked me to sign. The charge? $00.00 These guys ROCK.
