Ideal Martial Arts is a family-focused martial arts school in San Gabriel, CA, specializing in Taekwondo-based training for children ages 4–11. We help students build confidence, discipline, and focus through structured classes, sparring, weapons training, and a unique 12-week character development program that connects the lessons of the dojang to home and school life.
Our experienced instructors create a supportive environment where shy or high-energy kids thrive — not just as martial artists, but as respectful, resilient individuals. From beginner-friendly intro classes to advanced training, Ideal Martial Arts is where your child’s growth becomes a reality.

My son struggled with following instruction and could not for the life of me sit still. Within a month his whole demeanor changed. 6 months later even his progress report at school reflects how much he's changed. He's even become a better team player in his sports! The masters are so kid friendly, and are so loved by my son! The dojo is nice and clean and has sitting area for the parents to hangout and watch the kids while they train. Very thankful for the free trial classes and for the flexible class schedule! I'm glad I took the leap and gave them a chance. YOU SHOULD TOO!

Master David, Master Van, Master Johnny have helped teach mind focus, body control in addition to having fun and learning taekwondo. They have multiple sessions that younger kids can attend which helps with varying schedules.
