  3 generations of our family shared this incredible 6 day 5 night trip down the middle fork of the salmon river and had the BEST time ever. It was a wonderful way for family members to spend time together but was way more than that. Such a beautiful adventure in an incredible part of the country where we all stretched our limits with activities both on the water and off. The kayaking and paddling were so much fun for the younger generations and everyone made sure that grandma and grandpa had a great time without having to paddle. We could not speak highly enough of Steve, his family and his amazing staff. They all worked so hard to ensure we had a good time. The food was beyond amazing and the equipment top notch. I couldn’t recommend this trip more highly.

Camp accommodations are comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, with cozy tents and scenic settings. And the food? Surprisingly gourmet—steaks, fresh salads, Dutch oven desserts, and hot coffee by the river each morning. Whether you're here to fish, float, or simply soak in the wilderness, Idaho Wilderness Company delivers a first-class experience in one of the last truly wild places. Highly recommended.

  Incredible family adventure with memories for a lifetime. Steve and his family do an unbelievable job of making everyone feel comfortable, safe, and always engaged. Our six day middle fork trip flew by, and everyone (from 9 years old to 82) had an incredible time and was sad to leave at the end. Everything was absolute top notch from the guides to the food to the nonstop focus on making sure everyone was having fun at all times. Can't say enough positive things about this experience; we would do it again in a heartbeat.

  The Middle Fork of the Salmon had been atop my wish list for decades and fortunately, my friends and I chose IWC as our outfitter. I’ve guided for many years myself and been fortunate enough to go on many guided fishing adventures across the globe. The crew at IWC is a well-oiled machine that goes above and beyond in every aspect of the trip. If the fishing, , whitewater, food, (prepared in Dutch ovens) camping, hot springs, petroglyphs, hiking and wildlife weren’t enough, the guides bust out guitars and camp games that send this adventure through the stratosphere!

  What a wonderful experience! Idaho Wilderness Company does a fantastic job of balancing comfort and convenience with a real wilderness experience. Their attitude and philosophy fosters a present and engaging group where folks put their phones down and connect with nature and each other. And their guides are all fantastic. Would happily go on one of their trips again.
