Mostly helpful staff. I called before I went, and was told they had something, which they did not. Everyone else was helpful and friendly. The place is a little pricey. I was surprised that though we are just opening up after a pandemic, no workers had on masks. Most customers did. Overall, not a bad experience. Better than driving to Nashville for parts.
Frequently Asked Questions About Hunt Pools & Swim
How often is service needed?
For optimal pool maintenance, weekly service is typically recommended. However, the frequency may vary based on factors such as pool usage, local climate conditions, and individual preferences.
What services are included?
Standard pool service typically encompasses skimming the surface, vacuuming the pool floor, assessing and adjusting chemical levels (including pH, chlorine, and alkalinity), and performing filter maintenance.
What about repairs and other services?
Our service offerings extend beyond routine maintenance. We provide repair services for pool equipment such as pumps and heaters, as well as specialized services including seasonal pool openings and closings, and algae elimination.
Why is water balance important?
Maintaining balanced water chemistry is essential for preserving the pool's surface and equipment integrity, while also ensuring a safe and comfortable swimming environment for users.
What are the key chemicals to test?
Professional pool technicians regularly assess and balance pH and chlorine levels. Additional tests for total alkalinity and calcium hardness are conducted on a less frequent basis.
How often should water be tested?
During peak swimming season, it's advisable to test pH and sanitizer levels at least two to three times per week. Total alkalinity should be checked a minimum of once weekly.
What is a pool opening/closing?
Pool opening involves readying the pool for the swimming season, while closing entails preparing the pool for the off-season to safeguard its condition during periods of disuse.
Should I drain my pool?
Annual pool draining is generally unnecessary. Maintaining water in the pool during winter months can help prevent freezing damage. However, using a pool cover is recommended for additional protection and debris control.
What are the benefits of professional service?
Professional pool services offer several advantages, including time savings, expert knowledge in water chemistry management, and access to specialized equipment for comprehensive pool maintenance.
