About

Campground
Howling Hills Campground is a family-focused campground in Wonewoc, Wisconsin—just 30 minutes from Wisconsin Dells. Owned locally by a Wisconsin resident, the campground was created to bring back what camping used to feel like—relaxing, friendly, and affordable. The campground is on a quiet stretch of land with history dating back to World War II. Originally an airstrip, we focused on creating a space where families could connect with nature, unplug, and enjoy simple outdoor fun.

It was a costumer appreciation weekend. They had the grand opening for the new bar. Lots of fun. Very nice bar and campground.

Everyone should check out this new up and coming campground, Howling Hills! Jason and Tiffany are super nice and helpful! The sites are nice and easy to get in and out of. The cabins are super cute! The bath house/shower house/game room is all brand new and beautiful. The Where It’s At bar is unique and we had a lot of fun playing bingo and listening to the band. We will definitely be returning!

Wonderful experience. We have stayed twice this summer with our grandkids and they keep asking to go back. Friendly and clean.

It’s a beautiful spot! Nice and quiet and the sky is absolutely beautiful at night. And it’s not too far from the Elroy end of the Elroy-Sparta trail. Bathrooms and showers were always clean, as was the cabin when we arrived. What a hidden gem!
