    PSA! Don’t be fooled by this company. One of the absolute worst customer service interactions I’ve ever had. Called Howies for a fridge/freezer repair, they came out did a diagnosis on it, replaced a “bad part” only for it not to be the issue. So we called back and the guy came back out and said we need a different part, but it would take 2 weeks to get it in. I patiently waited the whole time. Only to never hear from them! Zero communication whatsoever and the “assistant” or secretary that answers the phone is an absolute joke. She has zero grasp of the work orders or the customers they are dealing with. We continued to reach out in hopes to just hear something at all and they blocked our phone calls and never responded. 0/10. Terrible.

    If I could give this a 0, I would. They came to my house to look at my dishwasher that had an E:15 code. They said they needed to order a part but had gotten it to the point where I could use it temporarily until the part came. I tried to use it that night and it would’ve even turn on. I called them to let them know and they said they’d send a tech out right away. A few days passed with no communication and I reached out for an update and was told the part was still a few days out. The next week they still hadn’t reached out to me and now were refusing to answer my calls or texts. A truly terrible experience for what I was told was a “simple fix”. It is shocking this company is still in business if this is how they treat paying customers.

    I guess I should have read reviews prior to calling Howies out for service. I am having the same issue as everyone else. They come out and diagnose my double oven issue, and charge me a service fee, and then never return phone calls. They have completely ghosted me. Their voicemail says they are now also operating under another name too. Just don't fall for their scam like the rest of us have.

    We tried working with this business and the results were poor. Communication was poor and it was excuse after excuse. I did some research and previous customers had similar experiences. My family of 5 has gone without a washer for a month waiting on the business to fix it. Please share this post with all of your friends!

    Received a recommendation to use this company to diagnose my dishwasher as it would not latch. They sent a repair guy out on a Friday who said he did not work on dishwashers but was more of a washer/dryer repairman. First strike. I had already taken the dishwasher apart and replaced the latch and tested the wire harness in my attempts to fix it myself. After explaining that, the guy said I had saved him the trouble and I ought to get a job there (ha!). He said that it was likely a solenoid or something wrong with the control board and that the owner would need to verify the part get back to me with the final diagnosis "next week". I even had to correct him when he wrote down the wrong model number! He did not do anything to the machine and charged me the $95 diagnosis fee. After not hearing back all week, I finally called them on the next Thursday to ask about the diagnosis so I could get the dishwasher fixed. The lady answering the phone gave me some excuse and said she would get back to me. Fast forward to the next Tuesday, I called again and said I think you owe me the name of the part at least for charging me. Another excuse - "oh our parts person has been out of town so I will check with her and get back to you." They never did. I disputed the charge hoping my cc company could protect me. But no, the company found the time to return their call and must have told them they did in fact provide me a service. They charge you to send the wrong repair person to your house who tells you they cannot fix it and do not know what would fix it and never proactively return a phone call. This place is a total sham. It got bought out and is not worth your time. I feel completely ripped off and disgusted. Run away!
