Hotel Emma is the nicest and most welcoming hotel I have ever visited. From the welcome to the room, everything was handled with elite customer service. The turn-down service was handled by the kindest and most thoughtful staff. The decor and the different areas are intentionally put together so that each space is more welcoming than the last. Highly recommend and would return to San Antonio just to go back to the Hotel Emma.

This is an excellent hotel. They pay attention to detail and offer supreme customer service. The staff, facilities, room, restaurants, and location were fantastic. Will definitely stay again. Thank you Hotel Emma for proving that great hotels still exist!

We stayed at Hotel Emma this past weekend, and everything was exceptional. It goes without saying that the hotel itself is so well designed and stunning, and it is in a great location with a lot going on around it. However, the staff is what makes the difference at this hotel. From front desk, to concierge, to housekeeping, to valet, every staff member is welcoming and accommodating. Recognition should also go to the woman making drinks inside the library. She makes a great margarita! The valet staff also goes above and beyond. I can honestly say that I have never encountered valet staff that is so personable and knowledgeable! They always remember to offer you a bottle of water and give any advice if you need recommendations for things to do in the area. They really do a great job. In short, our stay at this hotel was extremely enjoyable, and we will definitely be back!

Not only does Hotel Emma have over the top, convenient amenities in a picturesque location, it's an excellent choice for travelers to explore all the Pearl District and Riverwalk can offer.
From the moment you drive up and set your foot down in this place, you are treated in a way that I have not experienced anywhere…—from staff remembering your name;
-offering you the pleasantries, water, refreshments abounding for guests;
-inviting to give you a tour of the hotel & its history;
-the fresh flowers throughout the hotel, amazing decorating;
-intentional spaces and cubbyholes built into the vintage architecture;
-the well thought out hospitality in each staff you come into contact with;
-every detail for your stay that you may need, want, think of, or imagine
-cater to specific ideas-you find things have already been taken care of before you even thought of it
-extras such as certain styles/types of pillows, complimentary coffee/water and who knows what all are just a phone call away from your room—with a cheery staff member willing to come and deliver
-not much is missed in your stay that is meant to appeal to every one of your senses, as well as treat you to a space where you feel seen, special, pampered and valued.
Specifically during our stay we had the pleasure of the following attentive and friendly staff go above and beyond, ensuring that we feel at home.
Marcos, Mikael, Mike Zuniga, Jason and their teams at the front as we drove up and unpacked were charming, friendly, very personable, helpful & appreciative TO US for staying at the Hotel. Marcos led us into the hotel to show us around, making note of important niches in the hotel as well as its history. Marcos led us to another blessing of sunshine in Louis who guided us to our rooms, pointing out amenities and inquiring of our interests in order to share what was available within the Pearl District. One morning, Louis even went out of his way to come greet us in the coffee shop when walking by—of course recalling our names!
These first faces and introduction to Hotel Emma’s personalized hospitality are irreplaceable. They each were a sweet smile and conversation each time we walked thru the front and passed them—of course many remembering our names when pausing to chat with us.
The same can be said of Eric and David who we encountered in the Hotel bar and the guest library. We also got to meet our “secret room fairy” Yadira, who came in our room during the day, to replenish, tidy up, turn down our covers, plump the pillows, even lay clothes and items neatly that may have been “out of place”.
Hotel Emma has gathered such easy to engage personalities to welcome and serve guests! We cannot say enough words about the people, staff that love their jobs, have built a community that is the heartbeat of hospitality that infuses the atmosphere to each guest throughout their stay!
Such a rare, heartfelt, heart filled memory we get to take with us from our long weekend at Hotel Emma. I hope each staff member gets to experience the hospitality and charm they each give to each guest! I mean—just. amazing.

Is Professional Photography Allowed At Hotel Emma?
Professional photography/videography is only allowed for contracted weddings taking place at the hotel. Media visits must be arranged in advance and official press credentials are required. Hotel Emma reserves the right to ask any photographer/videographer to cease documentation at any time, should their work compromise the enjoyment of our guest experience.
Overnight hotel guests are welcome to take personal photographs or videos while enjoying their stay, so long as the images and videos are for personal, non-commercial purposes. All photographs and video must be taken with a hand-held camera (non-professional equipment).

What Is Hotel Emma's Pet Policy?
Service animals are welcome. We follow the ADA’s definition of Service Animal: an animal specifically trained to perform a task for a disabled person. Disabilities include physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual or other mental disabilities.
Please note: Emotional Support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not considered service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA.
A Pet Registration Form must be completed for all pets staying at Hotel Emma. A non-refundable cleaning fee of $250 plus tax applies to ensure that no pet allergens are left in the guestroom for any future guests.
What Is Hotel Emma's Smoking Policy?
Hotel Emma is smoke-free. Smoking is allowed in designated areas on the Pearl campus. If evidence of smoking is detected in a guest’s room, we will charge an additional fee of $500 (plus taxes) to the guest to cover cleaning.
Do You Offer Gift Cards?
Hotel Emma Gift Cards are available for purchase at our giftshop, Curio, and also online via the “Shop” link. Gift Cards are good towards any purchase at Hotel Emma but not valid at other Pearl locations. Hotel Emma Gift Cards do not expire or decrease in value.
Is Hotel Emma Cashless?
We are a cashless property. Should you require cash/change, please visit the Front Desk for assistance. For your convenience, there is also an ATM located on the lobby level.
What Is Hotel Emma's Damages Policy?
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will, however, make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.
What Is Hotel Emma's Firearms Policy?
The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Hotel Emma at Pearl. This policy is designed for the protection of our guests and associates, and pertains to the presence of firearms on hotel premises.
Hotel Emma recognizes that guests or visitors may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes. This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises.
Hotel premises are private property. Guests or visitors of Hotel Emma who lawfully are permitted to possess a firearm, may bring such firearm onto hotel premises for storage purposes only. Any guest or visitor who is in possession of a firearm on hotel premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state and local laws with respect to firearms, in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located and ensuring that the firearm is:
unloaded
secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest;
and securely safeguarded at all times in a guest room (or personal vehicle), except when transporting the firearm into or out of the hotel.
Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises. A blanket exception to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or where applicable, to conceal-carry a firearm.
