  The owner of this particular location has left all clients, caregivers, and even office staff with very little notice of the closing of the company. Office staff found out when caregivers and clients were calling about a letter we received on 10/10 informing us the owner was closing business on the 10/17. As the owner he knows how long it can take for an agency to complete what needs to be done to take on new clients (most places it is up to 30 days) these clients and staff in all capacities have been sent into a panic over this situation. More notice should have been given. They were unable to provide care for all of the hours needed on multiple occasions for the client I work with, she has been left with no one at the house with her and she requires 24 hour care, they have also called an ambulance on more than 1 occasion to pick the client up to be taken to the hospital to wait for someone to pick up coverage or for a family member to arrive there to pick her up, or even her being there until the next shift is scheduled to come in even though they knew her daughter was on her way to the home. They have told caregivers to leave when next shift didn't arrive which has left the client in such situations. There were multiple occasions that shifts were just left open until the day of before request for coverage was sent out. I'm embarrassed to say I've worked for this company at this location. I hope the other locations have better people running them.

  They have worked with myself and Jennifer L. *My aide, to come up with a care plan allowing me to get everything I need to remain comfortably and safely in my home as I age and everyday tasks become harder to manage. Very appreciative and grateful for UPMC & Homewatch for giving me the best opportunity to live the last chapters of life on My Terms

  I reported to homewat this morning that some of my life sustaining medication was missing a whole 30 day prescription and they done an investigation and I ask the to reimburse me $ 22.00 so I can get more and homewatch did not care the said no because there is no proof. How assadine is that then 2 minutes later the called me and ask me if I was switching companies and I said yep I am new agency takes over the 25th I hope this new agency is alot better then homewatch!!!!
