  In August 2025, we visited the Historic Nauvoo South Visitor's Center in Nauvoo, Illinois. The South Visitor's Center used to belong to the Community of Christ Church, and in March 2024, the LDS Church bought these properties. The South Visitor's Center has been repainted on the interior, and it will eventually be remodeled to have clever displays and exhibits. We are looking forward to the future remodeled South Visitor's Center.

  Some fascinating history. The majority of the comments seem to be from folks either part of or familiar with the religion associated with the site. We had neither advantage but found the place filled with helpful and friendly people ready to share their knowledge with us.
