  If you are reserving an item be extremely clear and clarify that it is in the system, document time of day you contacted them and who you spoke to. Also be very clear in making sure your understanding or expectation is the same as who you spoke to. "What does ready to go mean, When is first thing in the morning, etc." This may be a good place to rent from if you follow the advice above and don't get stuck dealing with the guy I did. Unfortunately for me my first time dealing with them was frustrating and unsuccessful. Too bad as they are close to my shop and as a contractor was hoping to save myself some time Headed to a rental shop where I know the service is good and communication is clear.   I contacted Rental Works in Manassas early Wednesday morning to see if they had a drywall lift available for a single day rental, letting them know I needed to use it the following day. Matt Hills (store manager) was very friendly and said he would arrange to have one transported from their Gaithersburg location. He called me back less than an hour later to let me know that it was on the way and could be picked up later that day or that they would hold it for me to pick up on Thursday. As promised, the drywall lift was ready for pickup when I arrived around midday on Thursday and Matt even had his team load it on the truck for me. Matt and his team went out of their way to satisfy my rental needs and have earned my respect and future business!
