I worked with the Gary Boverhof health insurance agency, specifically with an agent named Amy, to help enroll a client. She filed my paperwork incorrectly back in December. I discovered the issue in January and immediately contacted Amy, who assured me the problem would be corrected. I trusted her word and, because the mistake was theirs, didn’t think I needed to follow up.
Now it’s July — I’m pregnant and seeing multiple doctors — and I’ve started receiving large medical bills that should have been covered by my health insurance. Due to the incorrect information on my account, the insurance company doesn’t even recognize me as a member. I reached out again and was met with extremely rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional staff.
Most of my calls went to voicemail. When I finally reached someone, I was interrupted, dismissed, and even hung up on. Instead of helping fix the error, they told me to go back and have every doctor’s office rebill the charges — a completely unreasonable and time-consuming solution given the situation.
This agency caused the problem, failed to fix it after multiple opportunities, and treated me with total disregard. Their lack of responsibility, communication, and basic decency has caused unnecessary stress during a very vulnerable time. I would never recommend the Gary Boverhof agency to anyone.
