We stayed at the Hassayampa Inn for two nights recently. Even though the dates on our reservation were incorrect, the front desk personnel accommodated us with a similar suite that met our needs. Even when there was an issue with my credit card not reading properly, the desk clerk remained kind and polite. The hotel lobby is unique, and quite stunning. There is room to sit near the fireplace or to huddle in a more private part of the lobby. The pancakes in the Peacock Room are delicious! Music coming from the front patio sent us delightfully "back in time." On the second day of our stay, another desk clerk called the room and told me they had us listed as checking out, and if we wanted to stay, the room rate would increase. I knew it was a misunderstanding because I still had a correct reservation for that night. I calmly but firmly explained the situation, and reiterated that I was told the rate would be honored for both nights in the room we were given. The desk clerk agreed without much back and forth. When we paid for the second night, the desk clerk neglected to update our keys. This is very unusual for the Hassayampa, because they clearly prioritize excellent customer service. I have stayed there multiple times, and even attended a conference there. I noticed my hair absolutely loved their shampoo and conditioner. I called back to the hotel to find out what brand they use, and was given the answer without hesitation. Had it not been for the mix-up with the reservation, we would have had a seamless stay. When visiting Prescott, I plan to return to the Hassayampa Inn. You should stay there as well.

Unless you plan to be drunk out of your mind, just don’t. “Historic” and “badly maintained” are two completely different things, and this place doesn’t know the difference. Room service is a joke. They told us the restaurant was too busy to take an order. After three hours, we were finally served, and my son got a raw hamburger that was burnt on the outside, even though I specifically said no pink. When I sent it back, they put the same burger that he had already bitten into back on the grill and returned it blackened. That is a health code violation. They let a random pet into the restaurant but refused our actual service dog because we didn’t have paperwork, which is not even required by law. The plumbing is awful, the floors creak, and the door knobs are barely hanging on. Most of the staff acted like our very existence was an inconvenience. Locals hang out in the lobby even when they are not staying at the hotel, so if you need somewhere to sit, you are trapped in your room. And if you are from out of town, do not be surprised if someone tells you to go back to California, even if you didn’t come from there. This is not a place for a business trip. Good luck. You will need it.

Was worried that with the bed so close to the door we'd be hearing a lot of lobby noise, but it was never a problem. What was a problem was no surface to place items in the bathroom. They have room for a small table or shelving unit; I hope they get something/anything. The best part was guest services- every employee we came in contact with was super friendly and enthusiastic about helping guests.

We stay here at least 4 times a year. The hotel is stunningly and historically beautiful. The lobby area with the Spanish tile work, the ceilings, beams and larger than life. Fireplace greets travelers with a preview of their stay. The personnel at the front desk go above and beyond to make your stay here and extremely positive experience. The lounge area is a great way to unwind after a day of experiencing Prescott. Their Happy Hour menu for drinks and appetizers is only surpassed by Huck you manages the bar and lounge. You are treated to local entertainment each evening. If you don't feel like going elsewhere for dinner, give their dining room the opportunity to tickle your taste buds with their unique and yummy dinners. Don't forget breakfast, because their lemon ricotta pancakes are unforgettable. A truly magical and seasonal experience too during the holiday season. The Inn adds to the enjoyment of Prescott as Christmas City. Anytime of year is a great time to stay here!

We stayed 2 nights in early October, 2025. We like the ambiance of this historic and very popular hotel in downtown Prescott. There are issues with the maintenance in the room. The shower faucet was loose. The room was as very cramped. The window was unable to be opened. The cable box for the television was stuck way back on a dresser so that the remote didn't operate effectively. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Food is pricey but typical for downtown Prescott. Food prep was good. Drinks in the lounge were pricey. The Peacock Dining Room is expensive. Overall a good experience. Great place to visit for feel. We'll pass on staying there overnight.
