I bought a Cub Cadet zero turn from Home Depot at the end of the summer last year, and the electric PTO went out the second time I mowed this year, so it was still under warranty. I called Cub Cadet, and they verified it was under warranty. I was given a case number and directed to Harry’s for the warranty repair. I was given a 3 week time frame when I dropped off my mower. I brought my paperwork with me, and gave the case to the gentleman at the service counter. I received a text stating my mower was finished, and I owed $662. I called and asked why the bill was so high when it was a warranty job, they acted like the fact this was under warranty was news to them, even though I literally brought everything with me when I dropped the mower off. They said I had to bring in proof of purchase because my mower wasn’t registered, despite the fact I had a CASE NUMBER FROM CUB CADET! I drove from Aiken to Augusta less than a week from having surgery to drop off the receipt as proof of purchase so the warranty paperwork can now start. I dropped off the receipt on Friday, and followed up the following Wednesday. I was transferred to the Service Manager, who acted like I was ridiculous for following up 3 business days later. He said to give it to the end of the week. I waited another FULL WEEK (now 4 1/2 weeks without a mower), then decided to follow up once more. When I spoke to the first person, he said the notes stated they were waiting for me. I asked what they were waiting for, he told me they were waiting for proof of purchase. I, as calmly as I could, explained I brought that in over a week ago, and still had heard nothing. I asked to speak with the service manager, but was told he was on vacation, but left a note with the GM. I went to borrow my son-in-law’s mower, and as I was returning it, the GM said he want in this morning and looked at notes. The GM stated he didn’t know why Cub Cadet took so long, but they mysteriously approved it after I called this morning. I know I would NEVER recommend Harry’s to anyone.

I’ve called 4 times and can’t get anyone on the phone. Visited a few months ago and couldn’t get anyone help, not even a greeting as I stood by service desk. Must not need new customers. I’ve been told since Harry sold the company, it’s not what it once was.
