- TBTrent BOct 23, 20255.0Hanamaru is a fantastic sushi spot. Probably the best sushi in Sunnyvale. Been going for years and years and never disappointed. I love the specialty rolls here like, Black tiger roll, Cherry blossom roll and U.F.O. roll. Chef's nigiri and sashimi are well portioned cuts of fresh fish. Usual fair like edamame and miso great too. Highly recommend!

The lion queen roll was super sloppy and could not be grabbed with chopsticks. The other roll that I ate had absolutely no flavor. I’m sorry. Maybe it was the Mexican chef??
