I enjoyed dining here last night. The food was delicious but even more so the service was excellent. The hostess was very kind (over the phone as well when I called) and our server was wonderful. He was on top of everything and did an excellent job. I regret not catching his name so I could post it here. It’s rare to have good service when dining out these days so I really appreciate the attention to it from this establishment.

Two stars given instead of one because the cook was great and food tasted good. But the service was poor. Our waitress disappeared so a different waitress took our order, however, then they both failed to come back. Half our order never came out, the cook had to waive someone down to bring us our sauce and refill our waters. We could see the waitress talking and hanging out in the back and we were the only people in the restaurant.

My review is for the Front check-in person. If this is a new spot, please ask the guest if they are here to experience the Habachi experience. This is our first time; we didn’t see the chef, just dining tables. We were like, “Okay, so they don't have live chefs.” We placed our order, and while we were eating, we heard a bunch of commotion. We asked the waiter, and he said that in the back, we have live chefs. We were like, “What?” We came here for that. I will say, they were willing to stop our entrees’ orders and just cash out the appetizers, but we had to wait for a chef. We just decided to skip it since we already started eating. We will catch it next time, but I felt robbed of the special occasion I was looking for my daughter to have.

Left 1 star because I had to in order to leave a review so I called in a order Makeilla J took the order after taking the order I had her read it back to make sure it was correct I drove to the restaurant got there my order was wrong I went back in to get it corrected she acted as if she had no urgency to fix the problem then the manager comes up went to attempt to fix the problem no one told me how long it would take to fix my order so after waiting yet another 25 minutes I just asked for a refund didn’t say well take the food that you did receive for the inconvenience or anything just ole well here’s your money and asking me what could she do to fix it like that’s late and I’m still hungry. Thanks for wasting 1 hour and half of my time!!!! WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TIME AND GAS WASTED AND IM STILL HUNGRY!!!

This was my first time here and it was an overall good experience. It was a little hard to find the entrance at first but someone helped us out and guided us through to the front door. We had reservations so we were seated immediately in the "Fireroom" which when we walked in was very smoky! This area could use exhaust fans to help with ventilation but nothing you cant handle. We immediately saw "Spanky" and we asked him to cook at our table. The sald was decent as well as the soup and there is only ginger dressing for the salad as well. Once he started cooking I asked if they could do the Japanese BBQ on my proteins like Miyabi's does and I was hit with a disappointing No, but all all the food was still good but would have been better with the BBQ sauce. We had drinks as well that were amazing, they took a little while to get to our table but when they did they hit! We had wonderful date night but we left out smelling like smoke but we would give it another try because besides all the bad the food was prepared very well and it tasted just as good! Please Hanabi get the Japanese BBQ sauce for the Hibachi as well as some better exhaust for the smoke because its a lovely hidden gem downtown!
