  They only scan some of the books and they won't tell you which ones they skip and didn't scan. They tell you the offer they give is for all the books and if you want to keep ANY of the books then the offer is taken away completely.

  Used to be a very clean kept store has now become very dirty. I couldn’t be in the store longer than 5 minutes due to the smell.

  What used to be my favorite store in Houston has now turned into a homeless shelter. You enter the store and it reeks of BO. You have people asking for money in the store now as you are browsing the aisles. All the employees wear masks now probably due to the smell. It’s a shame cause this was such a unique gem of Houston. Sad to see it go downhill that fast.

  Oh my heavens. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING TO SELL BOOKS OR RECORDS. I knew they paid nothing for books but it’s the same for records. I took 100 records to them. All genres. I was there for an hour. When I asked nicely how much longer it would be before I would get an offer the guy clearly became aggravated. They finally called my name and offered me $3.00. I was like….HUH ? You’re kidding, right ? Nope. So if you want to donate your stuff just take it where someone can be blessed.

  Great bookstore, and everything is alphabetized (using the whole name) by author, which is wonderful!
