  Name no longer true. They "price competitively", read price gouge, and charge the highest price they find online. Wanted $130 for a damaged copy of a DVD box set normally going for around $70 online, but the lady found it for more online, so high price it stayed. Showed her the actual HPB ebay was selling it for around $103 in very good condition, but the lowest she would go for a banged up copy with a broken case was $100. Nothing but scalpers with a storefront now. Go back to half cover price! If we could afford collectors prices, we wouldn't be shopping here! Edit: Just checked the official Half Price Books website and the exact same set in better condition is $80. I don't know where the Fort Wayne HPB gets off thinking they can gouge for inferior product.

  I make it a habit of stopping in at each Half Price that falls into the regular areas that I have reason to be in and this one is by my daughter in college (I'm from the NW suburbs by Chicago). While I didn't find what I was looking for, the nice thing about used book stores is their stock always changes and you never know what book in your mental "wish list" might show up!

  This store has super cool vinyl records. Found some gems rarely seen at other record stores! Vintage Moody Blues with original 8 page insert; plenty of 80’s records. Sports books were in somewhat short supply. Study bibles in short supply. Good game section. No doubt will visit again next time in Ft Wayne.

  Felt scammed after selling my books to them. Seriously? $10? For them to turn around and sell it for $40? Will NEVER shop or sell at this scam store again.

  Decent store to shop in but DO NOT sell to. It's an absolute joke what they offer for the ones they will take and the ones you don't they "offer" to take off your hands.
