Love this place! Always something cool to find, great prices, cool people
Lots of older books to choose from across categories. Also some games and movies. Calendars available as well. They will buy your old books, but it's pennies on the dollar.

If I had a choice of selling my movie collection to this store or destroy it, I would rather destroy my own movie collection and rare ones too, they will low ball you for what ever you bring to sell Don't sell any values movies or Funko pops there

Came in here yesterday with two movies to sell walked out with three dollars came in today with twelve movies walked out with three dollars. What the hell a lot of the movies that I brought in are worth a lot more than 10 cents. I would like a manager to reach out to me as soon as possible about this because I feel like i was ripped off on the value of the movies I brought in.

I've been a long time customer of Half Price Books. Pricing has consistently gone up since 2012 and while I understand that all prices have gone up, I don't understand why a company that pays pennies for all their items is now pricing items above eBay sellers. Not Amazon, which has a dominant place in the market and can eat costs, but eBay resellers and sellers. I just find that kind of gross. Apparently, there is also a new pricing method where anything ending in .00 has been priced by their algorithm and no price matching can be done. Even if an item does not end in this and multiple eBay listings can be found, no price matching will happen. Nobody can seemingly give me a straight answer on why this new change has occurred and as a customer who utilized it here, East Broad, Lane, and multiple other locations, it leaves a bad tastes in my mouth.
Not a fan of these changes, HPB seems to be making a shift that I really do not enjoy. I also find the selection at this particular location to be more sparse than others and the staff just always seems ruder.
