  The saying is really true!!!! HEB (Here Everything is Better). I love everything from HEB. I am originally from Michigan and there is No HEB there, so when I permanently moved to Mission, Texas I truly felt part of the HEB family, because HEB is "my HEB". They are customer and employee driven. Fresh produce and meats and just very clean. Competitive prices, especially with this inflation, hey they have 3pds of round tomatoes for $2.97 that's awesome!! Fresh butter flour tortillas that ship to my son back to Michigan with other HEB products, anyways they are the best in my eyes 👀 😍

  I truly appreciate having the H-E-B located at 2652 Lake Austin Blvd—it’s a convenient and walkable option for shopping in our neighborhood. However, since June 2025, a persistent issue has emerged involving food delivery drivers. These individuals often gather along 8th Street and Newman Drive from as early as 7:30 AM until evening, creating significant noise and disruption. While waiting in their vehicles or standing on the street, many of them litter—discarding trash and cigarette butts—and engage in behavior that feels intrusive and unsettling. They watch neighbors and children walking to O. Henry Middle School, sit idly in the street, open car doors, recline their seats, and even stretch their legs out of windows directly in front of residential homes. When I spoke with H-E-B store manager Daniel and another manager, Jim, they explained that the delivery drivers are employed by a third-party company and that the streets are city property—meaning they cannot enforce parking restrictions or redirect the drivers to use H-E-B’s designated parking lot. While H-E-B is meant to serve the community and enhance our quality of life, this situation has made many neighbors and students feel uncomfortable and unsafe walking through the area. It is imperative that delivery drivers be required to use the H-E-B parking lot for pickups, rather than loitering on residential streets. Unfortunately, no action has been taken by H-E-B management since the issue began in June, and the lack of response is deeply concerning from a safety and community standpoint. I sincerely hope this matter can be resolved peacefully and promptly to restore a sense of comfort and security for all residents.
