We love everything about HEB but not the pharmacy, unfortunately. They overcharge for prescription medications up to 200% even when using insurance. For instance, Prednisone purchased on Sept. 10 was estimated at $5.10 by Aetna, while they sold it for $16.62. The funniest thing is HEB says we had no insurance on file at the time of purchase, while I can see three claims for that date with price estimates. We took multiple attempts to clarify the price post-purchase for my husband, who is a high skilled political refugee and therefore doesn't speak English, but did not get clarifications or proper assistance. Over the phone, we were told to come in person (without the warning that we only have 7 days to get a recalculation done due to their system limitations). Coming in person, in San Marcos HEB, we were sent back to Wimberley. Again, with no warning that we only have 7 days to take care of their error. After calling Aetna, I understand there may be discrepancies between the price in the claim but 200% on one medication is wild, don't you think? Amoxicillin was sold for $18.44 while the insurance claim says only $8. The other pharmacy management was quite dismissive today. The employee was genuinely sorry, though, I thank you for it.

I order curbside often, and my order is usually always correct with fresh produce. This last time, my boyfriend picked up the order and a few items were missing. Mistakes happen—no big deal! I called, and the manager was wonderful—quick, helpful, and refunded me right away. Great service as always. I truly love my H-E-B!
