For reference, we lived at Grove80 for a full 2 years and while some of the things there got marginally better, there still wasn’t enough to save it from getting a 1 star review from us. The best thing about this place is the maintenance tech Mario, he’s quick and friendly with any maintenance needs. Aside from that, this place is headed to be yet another dumpy unkempt apartment building in Cottage Grove. Nestled right up next to one of the most crime ridden apartment communities in CG. Hinton Heights and the other two neighboring apartments. Be aware that you will hear police/fire/ambulance sirens CONSTANTLY as it’s on the busiest road in CG. The windows and walls are the furthest thing from sound proof. You will hear people chatting just outside your window and it sounds like they are inside your apartment basically. The layout and cupboard/drawer space is atrocious. I have NO idea how us 2 adults and 1 pre teen were able to make a 2 bedroom work, there is just no good use of the space given the layout. The ONLY reason we settled on Grove80, was because we had 2 weeks to find a place given our situation. They have had the same carts there for two years, we’ve had to lubricate them multiple times because they could care less that the carts not only rarely even work, but they aren’t even big enough to assist residents with most tasks such as hauling groceries or moving in/out. Be sure to do a THOROUGH inspection once you move into your unit, because when we moved in, it was horrible. They needed to come in multiple times to re paint, clean, repair things that should’ve been done weeks prior. To include urine in the toilet upon move in. We can’t speak much on the newer staff, but they seemed to at least be a slight upgrade from the leasing agent and manager they had when we moved in a little over two years ago. That being said, I’d recommend most other places over Grove80. Ascend in Woodbury is 6 minutes down the road right behind Jerry’s and that place is LEAGUES above Grove80. Wish I hadn’t moved from there to begin with. Same prices and much better everything. Oh not to mention we paid a cleaning company to do a deep move out clean $250 dollars which Grove80 were well aware of, yet they still decided to charge us $240 for “Cleaning”. We even have a full walk through video showing how spotless the place was. Biggest scam apartments I’ve yet to encounter. Overall this place is not what it seems, stay clear as it is headed downhill quickly.
