We were represented by Mary B. Rannells Rowan in a divorce case. We lost our case because Mary negligently did not submit evidence we had given to her multiple times. Instead of apologizing for her mistake, she denied it and instead blamed us stating we did not submit the evidence to her on time. I spoke to her manager and sent her the email indicating I had met Mary’s deadline and even submitted the evidence to her in person; she either lost it or was pretending to make copies of the files I handed over to her. When I bring this up to Mary, she shuts down and refuses to talk about it or acknowledge it. We were unaware of how horribly Mary had handled our case until I called the Ramsey County Court House and confirmed with them that Mary had not submitted ANY evidence on our behalf and the only evidence submitted was from the other party’s lawyer. When I explained this to Christa Groshek, the Manager, she stated that it’s all the same and doesn’t matter which lawyer submitted even though we paid Mary at least $10,000.000 to represent us. We are out of options thanks to Mary’s and Christa’s negligence. I spoke to a volunteer lawyer at Ramsey County, and she stated that what Mary did was negligent and we would not be able to appeal even on the basis that our Lawyer had made a severe mistake. She stated that our best option would be to sue Groshek Law for legal malpractice. Aside from submitting an ethics complaint to the State and Board, we now have to work with another attorney to submit a legal malpractice suit against Groshek Law and Mary B. Rannells Rowan. Beware, if you do not want more lawsuits or for your case to drag on, please do not use this scam of a law firm. Again, beware of this law firm, the positive reviews are most likely fake as I have received a solicitation form Mary requesting a positive Google review to combat what Mary believed were “fake” reviews. See her email below. Update 10/3/2025: Surprise, surprise Christa denies knowing me and avoiding any accountability what-so-ever. Christa, can you explain the email soliciting for a positive review to combat the "fake" reviews? Shows how incredibly dishonest you and Mary are, here's another screenshot of another email since you don't know who this is. Glad to see Mary acknowledging the receipt of the evidence from us way before her deadline! I have many many more emails btw :) Sincerely, See Lee Hopefully that clarifies to you who this is. :)

My experience with Groshek Law Firm was extremely disappointing. I hired this firm expecting professional, experienced legal support for a specific issue, but instead, I received disorganized system that not only wasted time but also exacerbated the situation. The attorney I was assigned to was Chelsey Fischbach, who unfortunately, appeared to lack the necessary experience and maturity to handle my case. Her actions seemed to make matters worse at every turn. When it became clear that the situation was made worse, I reached out to the owner and managing attorney, Christa Groshek, in hopes of resolving the issue. Regrettably, I was met with the disappointing response that she stood by her staff’s actions, regardless of the circumstances. Ultimately, I felt compelled to terminate their representation and take matters into my own hands to resolve the issue. Based on this experience, I will not recommend Groshek Law Firm and strongly suggest seeking counsel elsewhere.

Chelsey Fischbach I can’t thank Chelsey Fischbach enough for her outstanding legal support during one of the most emotionally intense and time-sensitive situations of my life. As a veteran navigating a complex family matter, I was overwhelmed and under pressure. Chelsey stepped in at the last minute, quickly understood the entire case, and developed a clear, strategic plan that brought calm to chaos. What impressed me most was how she handled everything with precision and compassion — especially given how sensitive and personal this situation was. I asked for a result that was just a little better than what the other party wanted. Chelsey not only delivered that, but went far beyond expectations. She brought the case from a negative place all the way to being trial-ready — and got results I didn’t think were possible. Chelsey didn’t just represent me legally — she stood up for me in a way that made me feel heard, supported, and protected. Her work ethic, legal skill, and steady presence made all the difference. I’m deeply grateful and would highly recommend her to any family facing complex legal challenges, especially military families or veterans who need someone who truly gets it.
