Good price, great quality tree removal. They raked up everything after removing trees and after removing stumps a couple days later, actually filled in holes so there was no mess. Have used them twice, will use again if we need in the future.

Placed call with Heidi who is extremely customer service focused and expressed the basic things I wanted done. I gave Dan a tour of the 9 total trees and arborvitae to be cut and/or pruned, and just a few days later he & his team came with impressive equipment to get the job done.
Dan Loves what he does, he works his butt off to show his talent/skill and gives great direction to his hard working crew that are super mindful and respectful of your property. He provides honest and caring advise, I find it comforting to listen to his wealth of knowledge and expertise.
The clean-up was spotless , I could just relax and enjoy. I couldn't have been more pleased and LUCKY to finally place my first call (won't be the last) to Green Man Tree Services. For all they do in a short time, while maintaining a high level of safety, the value and quality is stellar!

tryed to give a simple discription on phone. person whom answered the phone was half listening. when i called her on it , she called me rude and hung up on me. judge for your self. i offered to meet with person to get a quote. this is what i tried to tell her. i had a small city lot. it is a narrow rectangle. it runs deep. in the back yard there is two things that take up the whole back fence line. the back left is a shed. the back right is a raised deck with a stair case leading up to it. this used to have a play house in it. we have removed the play house off of the deck. we are in need of triming trees up verticly around the deck area so we can move shed over to were the deck now yet stands. she thought the house was in back yard. i said with all do respect your not listening. she hung up on me....... apparently she failed word problems in school. and yes thats rude but so is half listening and hanging up on someone when you are not paying attention. which by the way is also rude. heres a thought in order to post, you have to give one star.
Frequently Asked Questions About Green Man Tree & Buckthorn Services
What should I look for while hiring a tree company?
Choosing the right tree company is crucial for the safety of your property and the health of your trees. Some key things to look for include credentials and qualifications, safety standards, and quality services and communication.
Regarding credentials and qualifications, the first thing you should do is verify that the company holds the necessary licenses and insurance for your area. This protects you from liability in case of accidents or damage. Additionally, look for arborists certified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or similar organizations, as they have the expertise to properly care for your trees. Choose a company with a proven track record and experience in handling similar projects to yours.
As for safety, you should always ask about the company's safety policies and procedures. Observe if they wear proper gear and use safe equipment. Also, ensure they have worker's compensation insurance to cover any injuries to their employees on your property.
Other things to consider include services and communication. Most reputable companies offer free estimates in person, allowing you to discuss your needs and get a clear understanding of the project. The company should be able to explain the work clearly, answer your questions thoroughly, and address your concerns. Before any work begins, have a written contract outlining the scope of work, estimated timeline, costs, and payment terms.
Do you have proper insurance and workers' compensation?
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured.
What is a certified arborist, and why is it better to hire one?
A certified arborist is a tree care professional who has demonstrated their knowledge, skills, and experience through a rigorous certification process. This certification typically involves meeting specific requirements, such as having a degree or related coursework in arboriculture, horticulture, or forestry and successfully passing a comprehensive written exam covering diverse aspects of tree care. Certified arborists also must possess a minimum number of years of qualified experience in the field while also staying up-to-date with industry standards and best practices through ongoing education.
Hiring a certified arborist offers several advantages compared to uncertified individuals. They possess in-depth knowledge of tree biology, health, and care, enabling them to accurately diagnose issues and recommend appropriate solutions. They also understand and apply proper pruning, planting, and removal techniques, minimizing the risk of harm to the tree and surrounding property. Certified arborists prioritize safety for themselves, your property, and the trees, following established safety protocols while working and adhering to a code of ethics, ensuring transparency, honesty, and fair business practices. Many certified arborists carry additional insurance beyond the company's general coverage, offering further protection, and their advanced knowledge allows them to tackle complex tree issues and develop effective solutions beyond basic tree care.
Do I need to be present when you come out for the estimate?
No, you do not need to be present. Our estimator will be able to get all the information needed to provide you with a free, no-obligation estimate.
How do you protect my yard while you remove my tree?
The equipment that we use is turf-friendly and will not damage your lawn while we are working on your trees.
