  Have had Great Dane come out a few times. Every time they told me my options and made suggestions (even if the suggestion was to not do anything). Recently, I had my first furnace tune-up as they were charging consumers/DTE instead of me. Dominic came out and showed me some video of issues that need to be monitored, but not addressed just yet. He was on time, polite and accommodating as I was working in the next room while he was here. He made suggestions about different levels of interventions and made sure I was all set for the weather to change. Highly recommended.

  Buyer BEWARE! We took advantage of an offer through our gas provider for a furnace tune-up with Great Dane Heating. The service technician arrived and quickly advised us "for our safety and yours" we must shut the gas off to your furnace. He explained that our heat exchanger had bad cells/cracked which would leak carbon monoxide throughout our house. He gave us two options: (1) repair the current unit at a cost in excess of $4,000.00 or (2) replace the furnace altogether. I quickly scheduled a sales rep from Great Dane to come out for an estimate on a new unit. I also decided to gather quotes from two other reputable heating and cooling companies to compare the three. After explaining what we were told by Great Dane to the other companies, and their inspection of our furnace, we were advised by BOTH that we were fed a line of BS! In fact our heat exchanger was not cracked nor was it faulty and our furnace had NOTHING wrong with it! Word to the wise...get a second opinion!

  Service tech Dominic Orow was Great!!! Very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose my problem quickly. I had someone else install a new thermostat and he did not configure it properly. Dominic identified the problem and configured it correctly. I’ve been a Great Dane customer for over 11 years and would never go anywhere else. They are very dependable.

  I had a great experience with this company. I had a fuse that kept blowing after getting a hot water tank installed. They fixed it and also got 2 outlets working that were not. Up front and reasonable with pricing. Also suggested to fix a few loose wall switches and sockets. Ended up getting a new outlet for tankless water heater so it would not be on an extension cord. Full service! Highly recommend!

  I was offered a "tune up" or better described "check up" to see how my furnaces were running. This was offered thru Consumers Energy to Consumers Energy customers. The tech, Dominic, who checked my furnaces was friendly and professional and at the end of the visit recommended new air filters and gave the furnaces a passing grade. There were no pressure tactics to have anything done or replaced. He in fact, stated that his company is having an open house and the airfilters are buy 1 get 1 free at their store. Im in need of 2 plus a few extras so I think a visit might be interesting.
