- SMSiera MorganAug 23, 20251.0I had such a horrible experience😭😭😭 Back story: I just had a baby and this was going to be my first time going out since. I have never been to a hair salon but my hubby said to treat myself since I deserve it. I only use heat on my hair once a year so this was a big deal for me. I walked in to get my hair blown out I showed reference photos and I said most important thing to me was lots of volume and loose curls. I have really long thick hair. The lady was smacking gum and had her hip out and arms crossed while talking ti me and was rolling her eyes being extremely rude and I was just so excited to get my hair done. I brought my little sister with me and she was so rude to my little sister. Once I sat down I caught her rolling her eyes multiple times at me and it was so uncomfortable to talk to her and I was so just excited to be at the salon for the first time. All she did was curl it with a curling iron and made them so small and tight. Then she put ROOT VOLUMIZING POWDER!!! It made my hair feel so gross and that is not what a BLOW OUT IS. She knew I was unhappy with it and she said “I know it’s not what you wanted” the other working there lady told her that’s not a blow out that’s literally just curling hair” I was so sad I got into the truck and I hated it it was so flat and she missed so many pieces. I got home and tried to fix it but it was just not at all what I wanted to cried so much and I didn’t have enough time before my concert to wash it out and try to fix it myself. Worst experience I’ve ever had I will probably never go to another hair salon. She was so rude to me and belittled me so much she smacked gum in my ear and rolled her eyes at everything I said. My little sister wasn’t even getting her hair done and she said “I really want to dye my hair green” to which the girl replied “I hate green hair it looks awful” as she made a face of disgust. Worst $75 I’ve ever paid for I ended up crying and feeling so shitty about myself after I left. This girl should probably learn what a blowout is. And also be more respectful to the people sitting in her chair.

Online Check-In becomes available five minutes after the salon opens. We accept Online Check-Ins up to the point where the estimated wait time is as long as the salon will remain open, or 30 minutes before closing time at the latest.

Online Check-In can be used for all services except perms and formal updos. Please note that not all salons offer perms. Most salons require an appointment for these services, so please call your local Great Clips salon to inquire.
Can I request a stylist using Online Check-In?
No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
