- DCDiana ChunMar 14, 20222.0I had my countertop, backsplash, and fireplace tile work done by Granite Transformations on Jan 2022. First off, I have to say that people I interacted with from Granite Transformation were amicable people. Unfortunately, the outcome of the project was not professional quality, more of DIY level. When you hire a professional tile installers and pay them +$10,000 you would expect your project to be certain quality. The most disheartening fact is that I think laborers just weren’t a highly trained nor had the proper tools. The tiles looked like they were laid without spacers, the grout were messy and all over the place, and countertops were not lined up with the sink opening. They came twice and tried to fix it and they just couldn’t do it (photos attached of final outcome). They also broke off one of the existing wood trim while replacing the countertops and have yet to replace it (we waited 2 months so far). Please consider using better craftsmen since this is a big investment and something you would look at for a long time in your home. Edit 4/26/2022: The owner of the company, Bob, came and fixed the wood trim and clean up the grout. I appreciated that Bob came out himself. Thank you.
