  My sink has been messed up and leaking for 3 weeks and nobody is taking it seriously. There is mold growing and I have become sick because of it

  Ms. Quanisha Ashford was so nice and helpful!!! She was amazing she answered any questions I had and even though I was a little late for the tour she was still very nice and positive and gave me and my daughter a great tour. I really appreciated the positivity and generosity!!!! These apartments are so nice and spacious.

  I can't say enough good things about Alan Burks, the leasing agent at Grand Island. From the moment I first connected with him, he went above and beyond to make my relocation from Illinois as smooth and welcoming as possible. Starting medical school at UTHSC and moving to a new city where I didn’t know anyone was a big leap, but Alan truly made the transition feel less daunting. He stayed after his shift just to give me a tour of the property—something I really appreciated, especially with my tight travel schedule. During the tour, he didn’t just show me the apartment; he gave me the inside scoop on the best local restaurants and things to do around the area. That local insight made Memphis immediately feel a little more like home. In the days leading up to my move, Alan called multiple times to check in, answer questions, and ensure everything was on track. His warm, upbeat attitude and constant smile never wavered—he clearly loves what he does, and it shows in every interaction. If you're moving to Memphis and looking for a place to live, ask for Alan at Grand Island Apartments. He’s the kind of person who makes a real difference during what can be a stressful process.   I visited Grand Island Apartments back in February 2025 during a job interview in Memphis. At the time, I toured several housing communities, especially around the Mud Island / Harbor town area, which I found to be one of the most beautiful and peaceful neighborhoods in the city. After comparing different complexes, Grand Island Apartments clearly stood out to me. The apartments felt newer, more spacious, and many of them offered stunning views that truly impressed me. Out of all the places I saw, Grand Island best matched what I was looking for in terms of comfort, location, and style. Throughout the entire leasing process—from my initial inquiry to finally moving in—Alan from the leasing team was absolutely outstanding. I genuinely want to thank him. He was incredibly professional, prompt in replying to emails, and very accommodating, even when I was abroad trying to coordinate my move. We also spoke over the phone multiple times, and each interaction made me feel more confident and at ease about my decision to relocate here. Now that I’ve been living here for almost a month, I can say I’m very satisfied with my choice. The building has continued to meet my expectations, and I hope things stay just as great moving forward. I may return with an updated review in the future, but for now, I wanted to share my positive experience—especially thanks to Alan’s help and the overall quality of the apartments and the area.
