About

Thrift Store
The vision of our 501(c3) nonprofit organization is that ALL people have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through the power of work.Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is based in Nashville, Tenn. The agency serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee, operating 30 retail stores and two outlet stores, about 53 Donation Express Centers and 13 Career Solutions Centers. The nonprofit is one of Tennessee’s largest employers of people with disabilities with more than 45 percent of our workforce reporting some type of disability or disadvantage. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold either in our retail stores or online at onlinegoodwill.com. Revenue from the sale of donated goods helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

Today all the cashier machines went down & the manager handled all of us waiting to pay very professionally bagging up our merchandise one at a time with our name & phone number on it to return to purchase it later.

I found a few things there.bring back the dollar days like dollar Wednesdays and dollar Sundays, but they don’t have that I don’t like it. They asked you to round up and giveyour change every time you go through the line but it seems like every store does that now for some reason or another But Goodwill stuff is given to them. Why do they keep asking for our change I don’t understand and everything they have is free stop asking us to round up our change stop🧟‍♀️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♀️🤯🤯

They had a great selection of books and appliances. I also found some really nice clothing that I was looking forward to trying on. Unfortunately, the store only has two dressing rooms, so the line was pretty long, and the wait for the clothes didn’t seem worth it! But I will go again, and hopefully, the store won’t be as busy.

Large store and we'll organized. Clearly tidied up regularly. Fitting room available. Many staff were visible putting out new items and doing maintenance. However, the check out lane was not staffed. We had to ask a worker to come and let us pay.
