- LGLeigha GaudonJul 11, 20255.0My husband and I have been taking lessons for over a year now at Golftec Whitby. I came in brand new to golf and my game has improved drastically. We completely broke down the “swing” I came in with and I am now at a point where I feel confident in my swing my coach Steve has built with me. I am a very visual learner so the instant video feedback is priceless for me. I often go back in the Golftec app and review my lessons when I practice on my own and to get refreshers to correct my swing. Both indoor and outdoor lessons with Steve have been really enjoyable and beneficial for my game. Looking forward to continuing lessons at Golftec to improve my game even further.
- GRgary roundJul 10, 20252.0Hi Went there for a so called "60 min golf anyalsis" for $95 The total time was closer to 40 min! Even got there 15 min earlier like the website said to to fill out paperwork I assumed. So I did and sat there right up to my 2:30 appointment time. After some swings with a 7 iron I tell Steve what I really want to get out of this swing analysis 60 min lesson. Basically my grip and stance and swing that's it. He shows me 2-3 issues that are wrong with my swing and proceeds to tell me that we can work on these issues but! This is what I need to buy to get to be a better golfer and correct those issues! He did show me one thing that I was doing wrong right away, that I was hitting before the ball and not the ball itself (that's the one thing I really got out of it that I will remember to do. The other issues were going to take more time and of course need to get signed up with a lessons plan! Look I'm sure Steve is a "nice guy" and everything and is a "scratch" golfer from what he told me, but it's a real "scammy" business plan and process to get you to proceed and sign up for lessons that are not cheap! You can't even get one thing fixed unless you sign up for their very expensive plans/lessons! Don't waste your time nor money on this so called "swing analysis" lesson because it's useless, and just a gateway to get you to sign up and spend more money on their lesson plans! A very dissapointed and cheated customer!
- TBTed BJun 23, 20253.0Golftec has taken my game as far as it's ever been considering that I am just starting out. Steve Rodriguez is a top-notch instructor! Having said that, I would rate my experience a 3/3.5 out of 5. This is because I had purchased 10 lessons (maybe more), but was only able to use 7 before the expiry of my plan. This is largely because available time slots for lessons are limited outside of working hours - meaning people are often competing for the same time slots. Unfortunate, I also missed out on things like club fittings due to the time-boxed plans.

I also love the video technology it has with each swing you do (even during your practice). If you need help or just starting out, I recommend doing lessons through golftec!

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
