- WBwilliam bentzOct 10, 20255.0as a seasoned golfer (76 years old) I was losing distance on my shots. It was easy to blame aging and health issues as the cause. I decided to try to fix my swing rather than continue to make excuses. I found Dereck Brown at golf tec. after my evaluation he was he was very encouraging and felt with his instructions and practice on my part he could add more accurate distance to my shots. he delivered in spades. He was enthusiastic and patient. If I had difficulty with a specific movement he would try various approaches until I got it. I would definitely recommend Derek if you are wanting to improve your golf swing.

Putting is 100% more consistent and accurate, chipping is unbelievable good because I can manipulate the ball with small chips, and everything else in my game has severely improved. Derek has been my coach for the past couple months and throughout the few lessons I had in the beginning, he shaped my old swing into a consistent and strong swing. Now I have been with him for over half a year now and my swing is beginning to look amazing. The way he views the game of golf and teaches me helps me understand everything I need to become a phenomenal player. He demonstrates physically and teaches verbally at the same time which is very helpful. He is the best coach I have ever had compared to any other coach I have been with in the past.

First took my grandson for a fitting , and was so impressed that I went for myself, then my wife. Anyone can sell clubs, it is the attention after the sale that separates the good from the bad . Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
