- JDj draperMar 30, 20255.0I had a swing evaluation with Robert for 1 hour & it went great. I started golfing about 3 weeks ago & have been shooting a consistent 120 at Diablo Creek. After our lesson I played that day & shot a 113. He locked in my irons after a 1 hour swing evaluation. I would go back if the lessons were individual & not package based but it is what it is. I strongly recommend Robert if you plan on going to GolfTec Walnut Creek.
- JHJohn HarmonMar 26, 20255.0Golftec review I’ve been working with coach Robert at the Walnut Creek, CA studio for 6 months and my golf game has turned a corner. And I’m not stopping there!! Since the initial swing evaluation I knew this would be a long term commitment if I wanted to actually take strokes off my game. I run a golf league for my buddies and after losing in the first round of playoffs last year I knew I had to take action if I wanted to get the trophy again. Robert has taken on the challenge of improving my handicap so I can move to the top of the field in our league. For the first 3 months we worked our way through all my bad habits to get rid of them and built a report to talk through how to improve. I won’t lie there were frustrating days but coach Robert was patient with me. Each week I went back I felt the incremental improvements. In the last few months we’ve been practicing the good habits to make them muscle memory. I have a much more consistent swing and shot shape throughout my bag, that I can rely on to get the ball where I want it. I still need to work on things but I’m really seeing results. I have access to all this knowledge about golf and equipment and a place to practice every day of the week. If you are passionate about golf this is a place you can immerse yourself and find your best swing. I highly recommend checking out what they offer and challenging yourself to reach a new level of fun with golf. I promise I don’t work for Golftec. I’m just a big fan with the experience I’ve had so far.

- STSteve TzikasJul 8, 20245.0Great facility and great staff. My coach was Ian Arcellana and he has helped me with my golf journey with empathy , calmness and quick feedback through our lessons. I am very hard on myself as golf is mentally challenging but he takes the time to slow it down and simplify it. The lesson plan is an investment to deter you from years of developing bad habits from you-tube. Highly recommend getting a plan.

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
