- SRSrisakthi RamanathanAug 15, 20255.0AJ Brown has been teaching my 12 yr old daughter for 2 years now, our old coach moved locations and I am so glad we found AJ Brown. She was hitting roughly 113 last year and we bought the 15 lesson package, we used it well and AJ was able to shave off 15 shots for her with his coaching and guidance. She is hitting below a 100 now. This is a safe place and appointments are easy to make on the app. Most lessons are indoors and in the summer its outdoors in a par 3 course [cost is covered], so its a good balance for Chicago weather. Even on the out door course, the coach brings out the ipad and measures her shots and is able to analyze it just like in the PGA tours.
- MLMike LeGrosJun 17, 20252.0Definitely one of the worst experiences I’ve had for getting fit with golf clubs. First off my fitting started 20 minutes late, and I was barely greeted as I walked into the door. Second, when I was asked what type of clubs I wanted to hit. I gave a few options and was told that two of the four I wanted to hit weren’t available because I’m a lefty. You would think that a store that boasts about the ability to fit everyone and take seven strokes off your game would have the necessary equipment to make that a reality. Third, there was barely any feedback when it came to the clubs I was actually able to swing. The only reason I’m giving this review of two stars is because everyone was nice. My recommendation would be to not waste the $70 to get fit when you could get the same service if not better at a PGA Superstore for free.

I’ve struggled with hitting my driver for the past 3 years and with his assistance I’ve improved my driver and all other aspects of my game. I definitely recommend GOLFTEC
- DUDoug UstichMay 3, 20243.0Lessons have always been good. Got fitted for new irons, and the fitting went great. But the ordering of the irons is where this went bad. Was told 1-2 weeks and they’d be in. They took over a month. Then I had ordered a sand wedge, which turns out the company doesn’t make in the model I ordered, and that information was not transferred to me. Even though I paid for one. The communication during the month was very spotty. I had gotten the fitting for $95, was told it would go up to $150 if I didn’t do it in March. Turns out it was free if I would’ve waited 2 extra weeks. I thought with the bad communication, and the extra wait for the clubs, $95 refund sounded pretty good. Considering I was never told about the SW. But nothing came about. I’ll just take my business elsewhere next time.

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
