His knowledge was exceptional and his enthusiasm was contagious. He really got me excited about new clubs. My clubs are more than a couple decades old and my swing is not what it use to be, but he showed me how well fitting all the right pieces together is going to work for me. The results were new clubs that far exceed my expectations. Anyone looking to get new clubs, I will totally recommend they goto golf tec and see Nick Rachlin. I would give more stars if I could.
- BCBrandon CohnMay 21, 20251.0I made an appointment to get a new set of irons fitted. Came to the appointment 15 minutes early and the person doing my fitting took me early. Fitting went great and I picked out irons, wedges, and a 4 wood. Thank you to Mitchell who did the fitting. Unfortunately since then Mitchell has left. So this seems to be a “Not my sale. Not my problem situation.” I called the next Friday because the shipping had not been updated and Mitchell told me to do so if I hadn’t received an update. Called 5/2 which was a week later….”no update. We’ll give you a call when we get a tracking number.” No call back but I did get an email from fedex a couple days later which said the package was on the way. Package got here. It was only the 4 wood and the grip was wrong. Not a big deal can always regrip it. So 5/13 I called the store to get an update on my irons and let them know what happened. “Hasn’t shipped and the website doesn’t have details. I’ll call and see what’s going on and give you a call back.” Also didn’t seem to care the grip was wrong. Just said we can regrip it once the irons come in. I don’t know why because everything was being shipped to my house. 5/17 I got a fedex update not from golf tech. Never got a phone call back that my clubs have shipped. 5/21 which is today I get the irons. No wedges. This is 4 weeks later after I was told they would ship out within 7-10 days. At this point as soon as I get the wedges I’m going to take them all back to the store. I do love the clubs but the customer service is awful at this place. It would be a 1 star but Mitchell did great with the fitting and I hope he moved on to better things and wish him all the success in the world. As far as golf tech Gaithersburg I will never go back there again. They do not follow up on anything and after the sale is done it’s not their problem. Update: wedges finally came. I was told “I will see if we can discount a driver for you.” (I need a new driver as well). Never to be heard from again. Also my 4 wood still has the wrong grip on it. Which I was supposed to send a picture of the ones I got on my irons. I didn’t because I never heard back from them about the driver. I should have known. I’m not going to keep following up with a company over and over. I’ll just spend my money somewhere else and I hope you do too. I won’t use golf tech again. I would suggest using one of the other many options out there. I love the clubs. Hate the experience.
- JCJames CampbellMay 19, 20215.0Listen, if you're new to golf or want to improve your game then lessons from Golftec are mandatory! This review is long over due. I took lessons here over a year and half ago (before covid 19) and after a long break from golf, I'm still reaping the rewards from the lessons. Tony Barrette was my coach. We worked on my Irons because that was my weakest part of my game in my opinion. After the lessons, I added 20 yards to my 7 iron, 30 if I'm really pushing it. Not only that, my swing is consistent and by ball does a beautiful draw. But the best part I took away from my lessons, is how to control the ball and how to fix mistakes I'm making during play. I'm not a consistent golfer (no handicap), but I would say I've easily taken 10-12 strokes off my game. Lastly, Tony was sincere. He didn't try and up sale me on extra packages or waste my time and string me along. He sincerely cared about my improvement and each lesson he had a goal for me to hit. He's an experienced coach and is great at his profession. I trusted his process and it worked out in the end. Love you Tony!

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
