- NNnphauser23May 20, 20255.0I have been working with Steven Durand at the Eagan, Minnesota Golftec for a couple of years now. I went in to Golftec to help straighten my shots and add some distance. I had been slicing badly and losing distance because of it. The first thing he helped me correct was my grip and club path. I have had a much straighter ball flight and added distance. I have had more consistent scoring at the lower and of my range, which I like. Steven is great at teaching the swing and gives me great advice. And at times being a little tougher on me when I need to hear it. Recently, I had a full bag fitting to get some new clubs. He was great at helping me get the clubs to fit my game. He took the time to make sure to make me feel comfortable with the clubs for me. I did not realize just how much goes into getting a true fitting. One club came back a little short and he sent it back to make it right. I hit my new irons and really like the feel. I am waiting on my woods, and am excited to hit them. Overall, Steven has been great in helping me improve my swing and giving me solid advice all the way throughout my journey. I highly recommend Steven to help you improve your game.

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
