Years back (think 1990's), I had an opportunity to try Giordano's for the first time, and was delighted with the result. So, you can imagine when I was in Chicago recently (Oct 2025) that I was anxious to try another. One word: Meh. I'm brought an absolutely fabulous LOOKING 20" pie (it wasn't the personal, next size up), in "Chicago style", with pepperoni, green peppers, onions and mushrooms. And took my first bite in a long while... I wish I could say it was fabulously TASTING, but the experience left me unimpressed. Where was the flavor? The thick cheese seemed "unoriginal", lacking the delightful milkiness of a good mozzarella. Veggies? Good. Sauce? Nothing special. Crust? Decent. After a fair pizza, small salad, drink and tip, a hefty $56+ dollar bill. Yikes. The pizza alone was $31. Seriously, if I'm gonna spend this kind of money, the food should be GREAT. Your experience may differ, but I don't see myself returning. Not the memory I had, and too expensive.

Wife and I went for dinner tonight with our 4 kids, two of which are 1 year old twins. Staff was friendly and seated us promptly. Waiter was friendly and took our order right away. At all previous Giordano's experiences the waiter served us the first slice. Didn't happen here. They dropped the pizza off and left. Thought it was odd, but ok. Waiter never returned to ask if we wanted refills, but ok on that. When we finished, we asked for a box. Every other time I've eaten at Giordano's they've boxed our leftovers. Didn't happen here. They dumped the box off and left. I did however see other waiters boxing leftovers for other patrons. It's fine, we boxed it ourselves. Then the worst part of our experience. Our 1 year old twins got fussy as it was nearing their bed time. This older couple that was sitting nearby began glaring and making comments about how annoying our babies were acting and how we were horrible parents. The entire time we were preparing to leave, they continued making these comments and being extremely rude to us. As we walked out, i mentioned our experience to the host. Although he apologized, we will NEVER return to this location. I might return to a different one, but this experience definitely left a very bad taste in my mouth!

Ever since restaurant went with 3rd party delivery, service is terrible. Order is already hour and a half and has been left outside without notification. Service was much better when you had your own drivers

Service was awful not once did they refill our cups my daughter spilled hers before the pizza even got there we had to ask a cook about a drink as our waiter never came back to check on us. And still did not get her a drink. The service was awful but the food tasted good

It just wasn't all that good. I like Chicago pizza. All the types. Deep dish, bar-style, lots of cheese, you name it. This outing was disappointing. On both the deep pie and the thin crust it was like eating a bland cracker. Maybe it was the kitchen. The appetizers seemed a bit underdone or maybe they had just been sitting too long. The house salad was barely tossed. Drink orders had to be repeated. But the people around us all seemed to be having a good time. Maybe we were just unlucky.
