Visited this store on 7/19/25 around 1pm.
The staff seemed indifferent. they didn’t engage with myself or my family, which is fine; we were there to shop, not chat. We found the items we were looking for and proceeded to check out. Our total came to $73 and some change.
When I handed the cashier a $100 bill, she immediately said, “Do you have another form of payment or smaller bills?” I replied that I did not. Without even checking the register, she said, “Well, I cannot break this.”
This was frustrating, to say the least. It’s unreasonable for a retail store. especially one that caters to families and children to not have change for a $100 bill during normal business hours. There was no apology, no effort to find a solution, just a flat refusal. It made what should have been a simple, enjoyable experience into an awkward and inconvenient one. We ended up leaving with very sad kiddos that couldn’t get the items I came to buy. Highly recommend finding a different toy store if you are in the area.
I don’t expect over-the-top service, but I do expect basic courtesy and the ability to complete a standard transaction without issue. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of that
