Georgia Connections Academy (GACA) is a tuition-free hybrid public school serving all of Georgia online and in-person. We offer a supportive environment for students who want an individualized approach to education through elementary, middle and high school, grades K–12. Our flexible program is an alternative to homeschool, charter school, and private school, that ensures each student maximizes their potential. Across Georgia, we serve all locations, from Atlanta to Duluth to Savannah and beyond. GACA is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI). The GACA STEAM Academy is a nationally certified STEM program accredited by Cognia.
The Middle School is AMAZING! My son enjoyed all of his classes and thrived. The High School is terrible. The High School is basically an independent study program with little to no support from the faculty and staff. Several of my student’s classes changed the expectations of the class after the drop date, which is absolutely unacceptable! Stay Away from the High School!

This is the WORST decision I have made for my son! I thought it would be better for him because he has medical issues. I was completely wrong! The work they are basically teaching themselves by reading the "Lessons". He's on the computer working 7-10 hours a day including hours on the weekends and is still behind. He started 10 days late in the 2 semester which are half year not quarters. He had to make up 10 days worth of work even though they put him on a waiting list and he was in his B&M school until the day he enrolled. He was an all A student in all gifted classes, now barely a C student and failing his favorite subject. They are bullying and threating students and parent's over the milestones because the school is failing. 7th grade does not have to pass the milestone to move on!!! Only 3rd, 5th, and 8th can be held back and that's only if their grades are poor, otherwise parent's can choose to move their children on based on their grades throughout the year! I have yet to have his 504 plan corrected since the counselor won't get back to me (which is illegal) since he has a diagnosed medical condition. They pile work on them and want them to attend 1 hour live lessons sometimes 3x a day, which is impossible to do both without working 10 hour days. I hate this school and wish I never enrolled him!!!!!!
