Stayed at Genetti again this year while at PA Senior State Bowling Tournament (please don't judge).
Genetic is getting ready to undergo a BIG remodeling project which it needs. Hence the 3-Star for the room rating.
The rooms are decent but they are dated, for now.
The front desk staff, breakfast, and bar staff are very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast buffet was good!

Over the years my wife and I have made the Genetti a regular stop even though we only live a couple of hours away. On this particular trip we had reserved a room for one night but Ryan was able to ad a second night at the same price. We were given a suite with french doors separating the rooms which were clean with TV's in both. This is an older, historic hotel in a great town. The restaurant here is top notch. If you are used to staying at modern chains this might not be for you, but we enjoy this place. Our room was quiet. No street noise and none of the usual door slamming experienced at most hotels.

I would not recommend this hotel AT ALL. Recently stayed here for a conference. Upon arrival, my colleagues were given their room key, walked into their room, and there was already another guest in there. They had been given the key to another guest's room. My other colleague checked into his room and found his closet had yellow jackets in it. This was a very serious situation as he is allergic. I checked into my room, which smelled like an old folk's home, and discovered the the microwave did not work. I cut my hand and asked for a band aid at the front desk, but they had none to offer. They only had gauze. Over my two day stay, my room key deactivated no less than three times and I was locked out of my room. The front desk employees were kind and courteous and stated that it was probably due to static electricity, but I was not keeping the key in my pocket and numerous other guests were having the same issue. When we had the banquet for the event I was attending in the hotel's ballroom, my napkin and cup were dirty and appeared to have already been used by someone. We had pre-made payment arrangements, but another conference attendee at the Genetti was wrongfully charged when it was pre-arranged that someone else would be paying.
Not only did the room smell, but the bathroom was very subpar. The bathtub was very slippery and there was spots of what appeared to be mold on the wallpaper. I understand that the historic nature of the hotel has some charm, but the rooms are desperately in need to renovation. The front desk staff tried their best to help with our issues, but many of these things are out of their control.
I only hope to look as good at 103 years old as the Genetti does.
8th floor is very haunted. I tried to give some 19th century shawty rattling chains in the hallway the rizz, but bbg wasn't having it. I guess I'll never be the ghost rizzler.
