First time here and it was DELICIOUS. The place is cozy with about 8 tables, so go with ample time if it's busy. Also, heads up, they close at 9PM but when I was there, they sold out of the main dishes by 730PM and closed early. The staff was kind, attentive, and friendly. They serve banchan with your meal (small sides that include kimchi) the beef bulgogi was tender and tasty. It comes with a bowl of rice (they added a small amount of lentils) the seafood and veggies Korean cake is SO GOOD, and the seafood was cooked perfectly. The bibimbap was incredible, too. It comes with white rice, veggies, and beef bulgogi, and it's topped with an over easy egg. The prices are decent for the amount of food and flavor. The waitress told me that they use healthy oils/items to cook with, too, so that is always a plus. I will definitely be returning to try more of the items.

This is an amazing little hidden gem. The food is delicious. The owners are amazing and the service is good. They made sure every order looked good and we didn’t even complain, but they said they thought it wasn’t enough meat so they came back and gave us more until they were happy with what they provided …even if they didn’t do all that I would still go back the flavor is fantastic 😊

Garlic 1% is our absolute favorite Korean Restaurant! As others have stated, the food is prepared fresh, the flavors are authentic, and the staff and owners are super friendly! My wife and I visit weekly. It's a small space, so it can get crowded, but if you get a seat, you won't be disappointed. For some, Korean food (especially kimchi) is an acquired taste, but once you get used to their flavors you will like it. They also serve several side dishes with the meals. A definite bonus for East El Paso!

I really hate I have to negatively post about this place. Me and my family have been eating here since they opened. My most recent experience has led me to write a post that is negative! When you walk in you can sit wherever you like, open seating. On this particular evening the restaurant has family style tables and there were a couple openings, me and my son who is 6 years old, took a seat at a table with available seating. I was asked to move before even being offered a beverage or a menu. I moved to across the way to a different table with other open seating with no issue. I was then asked to move my 6-year-old son so the party next to me can have a grill on the table. At this point I was over being moved around a small restaurant, squeezing between the tables with my small child. I hate to bring it up but I am, we were the only black people in this restaurant at the time. I refused to move again for the second time, I ended up saying I will just wait for my food to go I'll be in my car. After I left out I came back in and said don't even waste your food, I'm not going to waste my money on an establishment that is worried about making other customers comfortable and not treating me with the same respect as the other guest. No one else was asked to move, and we were all there to spend our money on this establishment. The food is good, but think twice on a busy night and you happen to be black. An easy solution to the problem would be for you to seat your guest and not ask customers to move multiple times.
